Thinker, Learner, Laughter-Seeker

Hi, I'm Muhammad Shoaib. I explore life's big questions and its absurd little moments-usually at the same time.
By day, I'm a PhD researcher, digging deep into the complexities of Engineering and rock mechanics. I love the pursuit of knowledge, and the stories data can tell.
By night (or whenever there's a microphone and a willing audience), I'm a standup comedian. I believe that if you can't laugh at the human condition-and your own failed experiments-you're missing half the picture.
This website is my digital living room. It's where I bring all these pieces together. You'll find:
Deep Dives: Insights from my PhD journey and thoughts on life, philosophy, and how we make sense of the world.
Book Club for the Curious: Summaries and reviews of books that have shaped my thinking, from dense academic texts to novels that reveal a universal truth.
The Comedy of Errors: My adventures in stand-up comedy and the hilarious, often awkward, lessons learned along the way.
Unlocking 中文 (Chinese): As a lifelong language learner, I share resources, tips, and my own progress in mastering Chinese. 一起加油吧!(Let's work hard together!)
I started this site to connect with fellow learners, overthinkers, and anyone who believes that a well-placed joke is just as valuable as a well-argued thesis.
Stick around, read something interesting, and maybe learn to laugh at it all.
